When the trainer takes the learner’s seat again, “deep learning” is no longer reserved for machines. 🤖🍀

I’ve just returned from an inspiring week of professional development in Dublin, where I attended the “Advanced Artificial Intelligence for Education” course at the Europass Teacher Academy.

The course offered a fascinating opportunity to explore how AI can enrich training and learning – thoughtfully, creatively and without allowing technology to steal the show.
My key takeaway? AI can lighten our workload, spark new ideas and open up exciting possibilities. What it should never replace, however, is independent thought, genuine human connection – or the all-important coffee break. Some things are simply too valuable to automate. 😉

For my work as an intercultural trainer and coach, I am bringing home fresh perspectives, practical tools and more than a few creative ideas. Some will soon be making a guest appearance in my training sessions – with a human still firmly in the driver’s seat, of course. 😊

A heartfelt thank-you to the Europass Teacher Academy and to all the participants for the open exchange, the inspiring perspectives and the laughter we shared – proof that serious learning does not have to be solemn.

Dublin reminded me once again that lifelong learning does more than keep us professionally sharp: it keeps us curious. And curiosity may well be one of the best forms of lifelong energy.
And apparently, an entire professional development course really can fit into a tote bag. At least, the bag makes a convincing case. 😉
