An inspiring weekend in Erfurt at the SIETAR Germany Forum on 15.-16.11.2025

More than a week has passed, and I’m still buzzing with energy and joy after an inspiring weekend in Erfurt at the SIETAR Germany Forum 2025!
Huge thanks to the fantastic organizing team—Annette Jall, Silke Riegler, Anke Kraemer, Anke Fleckenstein, Elisabeth Lemke, Steve Miller, Robert Gibson, Peter Franklin, Britt Breu, Bettina Strewe and Gaby Hofmann—for creating such a dynamic and thoughtful event.
I’m deeply grateful to all the speakers for bringing fresh perspectives, depth, and the courage to spark meaningful conversations. 
Yet, the true highlight was the collective intelligence, honesty, and wholehearted engagement of this wonderful community. The conversations and connections were simply exceptional.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, challenged, shared, and inspired throughout the event.

I participated in the 40th Anniversary Annual Conference of SIETAR Japan, held on October 11th, 2025, at J. F. Oberlin University’s Shinjuku Campus, which focused on intercultural communication and peacemaking efforts. A sincere thank you goes out to the organizers and all the distinguished speakers who contributed their insights and expertise during the event. Their thoughtful contributions greatly enriched the discussion and made a lasting impact, which I will bring back to Europe.

Rückblick unseres SIETAR-Regionalgruppentreffens in München

Das Weißwurst-Frühstück am 13.07.25 bot eine wunderbare Gelegenheit für einen entspannten und zugleich inspirierenden Austausch unter Kollegen. Bei bester Stimmung und bayerischer Gemütlichkeit haben wir nicht nur die kulinarischen Klassiker genossen, sondern vor allem diskutiert, wie wir künftig Kooperationsanfragen von Hochschulen effizient bearbeiten wollen.

Ein weiteres Thema war die Veranstaltungsplanung für das Jahr 2026 – erste Ideen wurden gesammelt und Schwerpunkte gesetzt. Die mittlerweile schon fast familiäre Atmosphäre, die gegenseitige Wertschätzung und Offenheit haben den Vormittag wieder Mal zu einem echten Gewinn gemacht.  Organisiert wurde die Veranstaltung von Susanne Doser.

An AI-week full of inspiration and connection in Ghent, Belgium!

The way our participants perceive and approach learning and teaching styles is changing rapidly. As a participant, I had the chance to discover and try out innovative AI tools for education with wonderful people from all across Europe.
Learning and working together in an international team was truly enjoyable and opened up fresh perspectives.

Ein Wochenende in Berlin – immer ein Highlight!

Bevor mein Trainingstag am Montag, 07.07.25 startete, nutze ich die Zeit und saugte ein bisschen Berliner Luft auf, entdeckte spannende Viertel und genoss das urbane Flair.
Übrigens: Der Berliner Bär – das berühmte Wahrzeichen der Stadt – tauchte schon 1280 auf dem Siegel der Kürschnergilde auf und begleitet Berlin seitdem durchs Stadtwappen. Seine wahre Herkunft? Bis heute nicht ganz eindeutig. Die einen sagen, vom Namen „Berlin“ (slawisch: „Sumpf“), die anderen legen den Ursprung auf Albrecht den Bären. Was meint Ihr – wofür steht der Berliner Bär für Euch?

LEGO® Serious Play® Wiederholungsworkshop

Am 09.05.25 durfte ich beim LEGO® Serious Play® Wiederholungsworkshop dabei sein – diesmal in der Rolle als Teilnehmerin! Nach sechs Jahren Anwendungserfahrung und viel Begeisterung für diese Methodik war es für mich spannend, altbekannte Techniken aufzufrischen, neue Impulse zu bekommen und den kreativen Austausch mit anderen zu erleben.
Gerade weil ich LEGO Serious Play fest in meinen Trainings verankert habe, weiß ich, wie wertvoll diese spielerischen und zugleich tiefgründigen Reflexionsmomente sind. Die LEGO-Sequenzen sorgen stets für Freude, fördern neue Perspektiven und machen Gedanken sichtbar – ein Gewinn für jedes Training!

Ein inspirierender Abend: World Café „Führung international“
Am 9. Januar 2025 trafen sich SIETAR-Mitglieder gemeinsam mit dem Institut für Interkulturelle Kommunikation (IKK) der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) im World Café zum Thema „Führung international“. Diese Veranstaltung bot eine einzigartige Plattform für über 38 Fachkolleginnen, Wissenschaftlerinnen und Studierende, um sich auszutauschen und neue Perspektiven zu teilen.
In einer entspannten Atmosphäre reflektierten die Teilnehmer etablierte und innovative Ansätze zur Führung in interkulturellen Kontexten. Anschließend fand ein geselliges Treffen und Jahres-Kick-Off im Restaurant Paradiso statt.
Organisatoren waren Dr. Gregor Sterzenbach (LMU), Jutta Depner und Susanne Doser (SIETAR Regionalgruppe München).

In January 2025, I traveled to the 3 Bs: Basel, Brussels, and Bologna – three exciting cities where I had the privilege to train and coach. These business trips, lasting from 2 to 7 days, were intense and successful. It’s always inspiring to support people in their development and open up new perspectives.
